About the Project

We love finding unique ways to customize things to meet our clients’ needs. For this project, the client had a few specific requests that we had to get creative to solve.

For starters, the husband was taller than average. Regular, 36”-high countertops were a pain for him, so we built taller cabinets, raised the height of the counters and modified the standards to make the appliances work.

The client wanted to maximize storage space, so we added cupboards on the back of the island and built a counter hutch for the bathroom.

In addition, the client wanted to incorporate a large flat-screen TV into their living, but they didn’t want it to be visible. After discussing things, we decided the best solution would be to cover the TV with bi-fold pocket doors.

Unfortunately, there were no pre-existing, affordable options on the market for this sort of thing, so we had to figure out a custom solution. This proved to be a very difficult technical challenge, but with a little ingenuity, we created a setup that the client loved.
